Harry S. INSKEEP 70 of New Ross (picture) died in Ben Hur Nursing Home Crawfordsville on Monday morning. He had taught school 35 years retiring in 1966. He taught at New Ross; Bowers; Linden; Darlington; Sheridan and Triton Central and was principal at Advance. Mr. Inskeep was a member of Jamestown Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star; Indiana State Teachers Association; national Education Association; New Ross United Methodist Church and Senior Citizens. He was a graduate of New Richmond HS and DePauw University and received his master's degree from Indiana University. Born Jan 10, 1905 at New Richmond, he was a son of William and Cora Simison Inskeep. In 1930 he was married to Ruth Durham who died in 1965. On August 24, 1966 he was married to Evangeline Harris. Surviving are the widow; 7 sons: Harry D; Roland L; R. Keith; Philiip G; David G; Larry D; and Robert D; a stepdaughter, Patricia Schulte; two brothers, John and George; 19 grandchildren; two nephews and a niece. Services will be at 1):30 a.m. Thursday in New Ross United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry D. Inskeep officiating for his father's funeral assisted by Rev. Victor Link. Burial in Old Union Cemetery, Waveland. Friends may call at Walker Funeral Home, Jamestown after 1 pm. Wednesday; Masonic rites 8 pm. Wednesday. A memorial scholarship fund is being established at Southmont HS for anyone wishing to contribute. - kbz
